Vedran Erakovic

Vedran Erakovic was born in Split, Croatia and lives in Belgrade, Serbia.
His fields of work include type design, calligraphy, graphic design, and the design of newspapers and magazines. He works as an Assistant Professor of Calligraphy and Typeface Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

Vedran has taken part in many exhibitions and projects involved with calligraphy, lettering and type design and has received a number of prizes for his typefaces in international contests, such as Communication Arts Typography Competition (2016, 2017), Granshan Awards (2010, 2014), Grifon Awards (2008, 2010), etc.

His type designs are presented in books and magazines published by some of the world’s eminent authors and publishers, such as Jan Middendorp, Richard Poulin, Gestalten, Rockport and Slanted Publishers, CA Typography Annuals, and others. In 2017, he co-founded LetterPalette type foundry. His typefaces include Adamant Pro (2010, Parachute), Adamant Sans Pro (2015, Parachute), Ana (2018, LetterPalette), Stena (2017, LetterPalette), and Vuk (co-designed in 2016, LetterPalette).
