Joosung Kim

Joosung Kim majored in visual design at a college of fine arts at Hongik University, and graduated from advertising design department at a graduate school. During university years, he was greatly interested in graphic design using visual illusion and published a master’s thesis. Before graduating from the school, he joined CI design at Seoul graphic center and accumulated experiences in symbol mark, logo type, and CI graphic system.
After that, he worked as an art director at Typohouse and became very interested in typography. He jointy established ‘I&I’ and ran ‘Intergraphic’, a design studio for a long time. He also established ‘Pureun Gaming Co. Ltd.’, a design joint office and served as a producing director.
In order to vividly convey experiences on the work field and foster designers well armed with typography, he has given lecture on typography at Myongji College since 1991. At Visual information design association of Korea, he served as a director and president. He had shown his works at Typojanchi Biennale and Art of Typography in East Asia once, and at other overseas exhibitions many times.
