From São Paulo, Brazil, Fernando Mello studied type design in the UK, Belgium and the US. He is a typeface designer at Fontsmith in London since 2008 and his typefaces have been awarded several design prizes in the last 10 years. His background in multiple visual areas — architecture, typography, graphic design and illustration — guides his search for creating innovative and original typefaces.
